(The Geography Building is on the west side of Bogue Street in the first block south of Grand River in East Lansing)
- mapping tools for storytelling
- creating Google maps
- using Google Earth as an explanatory tool
- basic use of geographic software to analyze and display news and information

David Poulson has more than 22 years experience as an investigative reporter and editor, mostly at Michigan publicatons. He is the
associate director of the Knight Center for Environmental Journalism at MSU where he teaches computer-assisted, investigative and
environmental reporting. (Dave will be joined by Justin Booth and Matt Farra of the MSU's Remote Sensing & Geographic Information Science Research and Outreach Services.)
